Realme is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated Realme 13 series in India on August 29, 2024. This series will include two models: the Realme 13 5G and the Realme 13+ 5G, both of which are expected to fall within the price range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. The launch event is scheduled for Thursday at 12 Noon, with the devices likely to hit the market in early September, available through both online and offline retailers.
The design of the Realme 13 series draws inspiration from the HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro while maintaining a unique aesthetic that distinguishes it from its predecessors. The devices feature a clean matte finish with a distinctive pattern beneath it, separated near the circular camera bump, creating an appealing dual-tone look. Additionally, the phones sport a flat frame, a popular design choice among many models in their segment.
When it comes to specifications, both models in the Realme 13 series are expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ display, with the Realme 13+ likely to be the only model equipped with an AMOLED panel. The Realme 13 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, while the Realme 13+ is confirmed to feature the more robust MediaTek Dimensity 7300E processor. This chipset is expected to deliver impressive performance, achieving a score of over 750,000 on AnTuTu and supporting up to 90FPS gameplay in select titles.
Battery life is another strong point for the Realme 13 series, as both models are expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery. The Realme 13 will support up to 45W VOOC charging, whereas the Realme 13+ is anticipated to offer even faster charging at 80W.
Camera capabilities are set to be a highlight of the series as well. The Realme 13+ will feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, while the Realme 13 is expected to include a triple camera configuration with an additional 8MP ultrawide sensor. For selfies, both models are likely to sport a 16MP front camera.
Moreover, the Realme 13 series will be the first in the number series to incorporate GT Gaming features, which include Geek Power Tuning, Quick Startup, Dedicated Gaming Memory, Game Filters, Voice Changer, and Game Focus Mode.
In terms of pricing, the Realme 13 series is anticipated to start at around Rs 15,000, with the potential for introductory offers. This pricing strategy aligns with the previous generation, where the Realme 12 and Realme 12+ were launched at Rs 16,999 and Rs 20,999, respectively.
